Corporate Citizenship Report
Illustrating POSCO’s Economic and ESG Performance
Since 1995 when POSCO published Korea’s first-ever “Environmental Report”, the Company has presented annual reports to outline its corporate outcomes on the sustainability front. The announcement of our new management philosophy ‘Corporate Citizenship: Building a Better Future Together’ in 2018 served to renew our commitment to communicate with and relate to each and every stakeholder group, including that of customers, employees, and shareholders. Moreover, it helped us pursue ceaseless transformation and innovation so as to create even greater corporate value. Our “Corporate Citizenship Reports” provide at-a-glance views of our wide-ranging activities and endeavors made on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects. Going forward, we vow to publish such reports in accordance with the principle of transparent disclosure and the standards endorsed by the international community.
The Corporate Citizenship Report 2020, POSCO’s 18th sustainability report, illustrates our philosophy for sustainable management and achievements in the areas of Business, Society, and People.
Through materiality analysis for major issues faced by POSCO and mid-and-long-term KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), this report clarifies the Group’s sustainable strategies.
The ESG Factbook was established to disclose transparent information on POSCO’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance to its stakeholders. Key ESG data and our most recent four-year developments are specified in the factbook, as well as first-time disclosure of the SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) global standards showing the performance of its domestic and overseas worksites.
